The Liga Del Valle (LDV) is a nonprofit organization and is proudly affiliated to the Oregon Adult Soccer Association (OASA), United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and to the United States Soccer Federation. (USSF).
The Liga Del Valle (LDV) is comprised of two divisions, with twelve teams in the first division and ten (10) teams in the second division. The league has players affiliated from Yreka CA, Grants Pass and from Clamath Falls OR and Jackson and Josephine Counties in the southern part of Oregon. The LDV board of directors is composed of six members, a president, secretary and public relations, treasury, competency administrator and three counsel members whose responsibility is to advise the president.
The board of directors is responsible for setting the policy for the League, set the game rules and enforce the rules and mediate on disputes between players and coaches. The LDV follow internal, USSF and FIFA rules. The LDV is dedicated to better the soccer skills of adults and teenagers in the Southern Oregon area and northern California. The Liga Del Valle started on or about 1985 with one team who was competing in southern Oregon and as the years went by more team have been enrolling. The Liga Del Valle has an all star man team to compete in tournaments throughout the western region. The teams expenses are sponsored by the community to cover travel costs. The Southern Oregon Adult Soccer League thanks the community of southern Oregon and northern California for the support to its affiliates to continue the growth of the soccer sport which has given great meaning to soccer athletes life in our community.
